Ardbeg Heavy Vapours is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46% vol. It is a limited edition released in time for Ardbeg Day 2023.
Ardbeg's usual balance of peat and fruit is attributed to the purifier, a fitting on the second distillation. This bottling is meant to show the distillery without that balance, so darker aromas lead.
It is described as bittersweet smoke, dark chocolate and eucalyptus, with a certain sharpness.
