Ardbeg Kelpie is a limited edition Islay single malt, issued in 2017 for Ardbeg Day as a Committee release. It was matured in virgin oak casks, the wood grown, felled and seasoned around the Black Sea. The result is an Ardbeg of oily peat, dark chocolate and smoked fish. The nose is herbal, with pine resin and smoky fudge emerging when water is added. The palate is peppery, with clove oil, coffee, hickory wood, seaweed and smoked fish.
