Ardbeg – Kelpie (70cl)

Ardbeg Kelpie is a single malt made for the Islay festival, Feis Ile, in 2017. It was matured in virgin oak, with the wood coming from trees grown on the shores of the Black Sea. The choice of cask gives the whisky a character of its own, as the wood and the spirit were both shaped by soil and marine surroundings. That sense of the sea can be picked out in its aromas.
