Ardbeg Perpetuum is the distillery's bottling for its 200th anniversary, released in June 2015. It is a vatting of old and young whiskies from both sherry and bourbon casks, put together to give a classic Ardbeg style. It is a limited edition, bottled at 47.4% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose has ripe pears, cinnamon, sweet oranges and fresh thyme. The palate brings dark chocolate, smoked pear, nutmeg and honeyed figs, with a creamy, velvety texture. The finish is delicately smoky with hints of spiced apple.
