Ardbeg Scorch is a limited edition Islay single malt created for Ardbeg Day 2021. Bottled that year at 46% ABV, it matured in heavily charred ex-bourbon casks.
Roasted barley, bonfire smoke and clove meet pear, dried apricot, red berries, cinnamon and toasted oak on the nose. The full-bodied, velvety palate brings soot, salty liquorice, toasted brown sugar, dark chocolate, espresso and vanilla. The long, earthy finish combines smoke and oak with sweet toffee.
