Ardbeg – Smokehead Extra Rare (1L, 40%)

Smokehead Extra Rare is a single malt in a one litre bottle at 40% vol, matured in ex-bourbon casks. It differs from the regular Smokehead in its larger bottle size and in the casks used, which are different and also older. The nose is somewhat unruly, with a clearly smoky note. The palate shows a light, pleasant fruity sweetness alongside smoked bacon and barbecue fire. The finish is long, with smoke and a light sweetness.
