Ardbeg – Smokiverse (70cl, 48.3%)

Ardbeg Smokiverse is a limited edition Islay single malt released for Ardbeg Day 2025 and the 25th anniversary of the Ardbeg Committee. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 48.3% ABV and was matured in ex-bourbon casks. It is the first Ardbeg expression made with high-gravity mashing, which uses less water and more grain in the mash tun to boost ester formation and concentrate flavour. The nose is fruity and estery, with smoked bubblegum, toasted sourdough, ripening barley and peat smoke. The palate is rich and creamy, with sooty creosote, clove, aniseed, muscovado sugar and charcoal. The finish is earthy peat moss with bonfire embers.
