Ardbeg Spectacular is the Ardbeg Day 2024 release, a limited edition Islay single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is the first Ardbeg to be matured in port wine casks, which were then married with ex-bourbon barrels.
The result is described as sweet meeting smoky peat. The tasting notes mention smoky pear crumble and a cooling menthol twist, moving into incense candles, perfumed lavender and antique leather.
