Ardbeg – Spectacular

Ardbeg Spectacular is an Islay single malt matured in port wine casks and ex-bourbon barrels. It was a first for the distillery and was released for Ardbeg Day. The two cask types bring together smoky peat and a sweeter side, and the whisky has a big mouthfeel. On the nose it is described as smoky pear crumble with cooling menthol, incense candles, lavender and antique leather. The palate is peaty and full in the mouth.
