Ardbeg Traigh Bhan 19 Year Old Batch 3 is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46.2% abv without chill-filtration. It was matured in American oak and Oloroso sherry casks.
The third batch of the series takes its inspiration from Traigh Bhan beach on Islay. It was bottled during the global lockdown, one of the few times in the distillery's history that this has happened.
The nose offers woodsmoke, sea spray and pine resin, with aniseed toffee, citrus zest and cayenne pepper. The palate is sappy and sweetly smoky, with tarry rope, treacle toffee, walnuts and spice. The finish is long, with bitter almonds and clove.
