Ardbeg Traigh Bhan is a 19 year old Islay single malt, the second batch of this limited edition. Ardbeg was founded on Islay in 1815 by John McDougall. The name comes from the Islay beach also known as Singing Sands.
The whisky matured in a selection of casks that previously held Oloroso sherry and bourbon. It comes in a 70cl bottle with a box.
The nose is delicate, with clove, orange, chocolate, liquorice, vanilla and pine needles. The palate is briny and lightly spiced, with balsamic notes and orange and lemon behind. The peaty finish brings liquorice, leather and chocolate.
