Ardbeg Twenty One is an Islay single malt matured for 21 years in a bourbon cask. It was bottled on 5 May 2016 at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, in a limited edition of 8,268 bottles released exclusively to the Ardbeg Committee.
The nose offers delicate pear and ripe apple, with dried apricot, clove, sage and subtle vanilla oak. Sweet vanilla and toasted almond lead the palate, with hints of chocolate, subtle smoke and a creamy texture. The finish is medium to long, with honeyed nuts and soft smoke.
