Ardbeg – Uigeadail Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 54.2%)

Ardbeg Uigeadail is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky at 54.2% vol, in a 70cl bottle. The name, pronounced 'Oog-a-dal', is Gaelic for a dark, mysterious place and comes from Loch Uigeadail, the distillery's water source. It was chosen as their favourite Ardbeg by the Ardbeg Committee. It joins Ardbeg's smoky character with the rich tones of old ex-sherry casks, and was matured in former bourbon and sherry casks. The colour is deep gold. The nose has Christmas stollen, violets, cedar and spruce needles, with caramel syrup and chocolate raisins under the smoke. The palate brings winter spices, honeyed smoke and chewy syrup, with smoke settling gently like a good cigar.
