Ardbeg Wee Beastie is a five-year-old Islay single malt bottled at 47.4%. It is an addition to the distillery's core range.
The nose is sweet and herbal at first, then tar and peaty smoke, a little ham, black pepper, strong mocha and a hint of resinous wood. The palate is round for such a young malt, yet full-bodied, with dark chocolate, tar, smoked bacon and fresh spice.
The finish is long and salty, with cocoa, caramel and smoked meat.
