Wee Beastie is a five year old Islay single malt and the youngest whisky Ardbeg has released. It was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks.
It is bottled at 47.4% ABV and is non-chill filtered, and the peat character is strong throughout.
The nose has cracked black pepper, fresh pine resin and a sharp, smoky tang. On the palate are dark chocolate, tar, creosote and savoury smoked meats. The finish is long, salty and mouth-coating.
