This is a 24 year old Lowland single grain whisky from Dumbarton, bottled by Ardent Spirits. It was distilled from maize in 2000. The distillery closed in the early 2000s, and one of its casks gave 200 bottles.
It is bottled at 48%, with natural colour and no chill filtration.
The nose combines dried apricots and soft peaches with vanilla toffee and caramelised sugar, over a slight nuttiness of toasted almonds or hazelnuts. The palate brings creamy fudge, light oak and honeyed cereal, and the finish is long, mellow and sweet, echoing the fruit and vanilla.
