A 50-year-old single grain Scotch from Invergordon, the Highlands' northernmost grain distillery, bottled by Ardent Spirits. It was distilled in 1974 and bottled at 43% ABV, with natural colour and no chill filtration. Only 275 bottles were filled, each of 70cl.
Invergordon sits on the Cromarty Firth and is known for a rich, weighty grain spirit that can take long ageing.
The nose is ripe peaches and honeyed vanilla over gentle oak spice. The palate brings orchard fruit, creamy vanilla and subtle citrus zest, framed by polished oak and a touch of warm spice. The finish is sweet and lingering.
