Ardgowan – 2011 Discovery Series No.1 (70cl)

This is a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky from Ardgowan, distilled in 2011 and presented in a 70cl bottle. It is the first release in the Discovery series, which is made up of casks chosen personally by Max McFarlane for the quality of the spirit inside. The whisky spent over two years in rich Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. Just 500 bottles were filled for this release. The sherry casks have given it a long, dark, fruity finish.
