Ardgowan – Discovery Series No 1

This is Discovery 1, a Lowland single malt from Ardgowan, distilled in 2011 and released in a run of 500 bottles. Max McFarlane found a small group of casks at Ardgowan that held too little whisky for the volumes needed for the Clydebuilt Series, so they were bottled separately as this single malt. The spirit has spent over two years in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
