This Ardmore was distilled in July 1990 and bottled in July 2022, after 31 years in cask. It is bottled by Hunter Laing under the Old & Rare label, at 58.1% in a 70cl bottle.
It matured in a refill butt, which gave 369 bottles.
The nose brings fruit compote, toffee, manuka honey and highland peat smoke. The palate is leathery and quite ashy, with the smoke moving forward alongside stewed red fruit and sweet oak. The finish is very long, rich and lingering, with sweet smoke.
