This Ardmore was bottled by Cadenhead's for the Campbeltown Whisky Festival 2024, at 55.8% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in August 2012 and has been in an ex-Madeira cask since 2017. Only 252 bottles were produced.
Ardmore is a peated Highland malt, and here it shows in pear drops, rose water and strawberry laces, with a little peat smoke. The nose offers green apples, ripe pears and dried apricots. The palate brings caramelised honey and spiced orange peel, and the finish is medium-long and warm, with sweet toffee.
