Ardmore – Traditional Cask Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Ardmore Traditional Cask is a lightly peated Highland single malt, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Ardmore released its first single malt only in 2007. The whisky is matured twice. It first rests in ordinary oak casks, then moves to much smaller quarter casks, where closer contact between wood and spirit speeds up maturation and adds softness. Bourbon casks are among those listed. The colour is dark gold. The nose is spiced, soft and aromatic. The palate is soft and creamy, with peat alongside vanilla, apple and milk chocolate.
