This is a single cask Ardnahoe from Islay, distilled in 2019 and bottled in 2026 at 7 years old. It matured in a first fill bourbon barrel, number 70, and is bottled at 60.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The cask marks the 50th anniversary of Kirsch Import. Ardnahoe opened in 2019 and is the only distillery on the island to use traditional worm tubs, with plenty of copper contact.
Maritime smoke runs over caramelised peach, roasted almonds and vanilla fudge, and the finish is long, warm and spicy.
