Ardnahoe – 5 Years Cask Strength: Batch 1 (70cl, 60.9%)

Ardnahoe 5 Years Cask Strength Batch 1 is an Islay single malt, and the third core range bottling from the distillery after Infinite Loch and Bholsa. It is made entirely from spirit matured in first-fill bourbon casks for five years. It is bottled at its natural cask strength of 60.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with no added colour and no chill-filtration. The nose brings maritime salt, earthy peat and rich cocoa. On the palate there are orchard fruits, herbal tea and salted caramel. The finish is long and smoky, with a touch of citrus.
