Chairman's Selection is a limited release made in tribute to Ardnahoe's late founder, Stewart Laing, and produced to his personal specifications. It is the most heavily peated Ardnahoe released to date.
The whisky was matured for 6 years, mostly in first-fill sherry casks alongside bourbon casks, and bottled at a cask strength of 60.2%.
Peat smoke leads the nose, with coastal salt and rich cacao. The palate is smoky and earthy, with lemon curd, honeyed malt and stewed plums. The finish is long and drying, with ashy peat, cracked black pepper and a touch of salted toffee.
