Ardnahoe 6 Year Old Small Batch is an Islay single malt matured entirely in small Pedro Ximénez quarter casks and bottled at a cask strength of 60.6%. Ardnahoe is the island's ninth distillery. It takes its water from Loch Ardnahoe and condenses its spirit in traditional worm tubs.
The nose is classic peat smoke wrapped in dark, sticky sweetness, with raisins, dark chocolate and dates. On the palate the smoke blends with the Pedro Ximénez sweetness. The finish is long, with dark chocolate and dried raisins lingering as the smoke settles.
