Ardnahoe 6 Years Old Chairman's Selection is a limited Islay single malt put together to the personal specification of Stewart Laing, the distillery's founder and chairman. It pairs Islay peat with a chosen mix of casks.
The whisky matured for six years in sherry and bourbon casks. It is bottled at its natural cask strength of 60.2% ABV, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring.
The nose is peat smoke with maritime saltiness and dark cocoa. The palate is full and intense, with earthy smoulder, lemon curd, honeyed malt and stewed plums, and a creamy texture. The finish is long and dry, with ashy peat, freshly ground black pepper and a touch of salted toffee.
