A five-year-old Islay single malt and the first Ardnahoe to be released at natural cask strength. Batch 1 is bottled at 60.9% ABV, straight from the cask, without added colour or chill-filtration.
The whisky matured only in first fill bourbon casks, which set the smoky Islay style against the soft vanilla notes of fresh bourbon wood. Future cask strength releases are planned as individual batches.
It is described as deep and full-bodied, with a youthful freshness still present.
