Ardnamurchan AD/01.21:01 is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle, the second single malt released by the Ardnamurchan distillery. It is a vatting of half peated and half unpeated whisky.
The whisky was matured in ex-Bourbon casks for 65% of the blend and ex-Sherry casks for the remaining 35%.
The nose is of honeyed baking spices, melted brown sugar and orange marmalade, with woody smoke and peat beneath. On the palate come yellow fruit (peach, apricot, melon) and a spicy lift of ginger, nutmeg and Sichuan pepper. The finish is fairly long, with salty touches, liquorice and spice.
