Ardnamurchan AD/09.22 Cask Strength is a single malt from the Ardnamurchan distillery, on the Ardnamurchan peninsula in north-west Scotland. The spirit is distilled from 94% peated malt and 6% unpeated malt. Of this, 88% matured in ex-bourbon casks and 12% in ex-sherry casks, and it is bottled at full cask strength. Each bottle carries a QR code that traces the production chain.
The nose is fruity, with briny oyster and balsamic eucalyptus. On the palate, smoke sits over a base of peat, alongside seaweed, cigar and salted caramel. The finish brings hay.
