Ardnamurchan – AD/10.22 Madeira Cask Release (70cl, 58.2%)

Ardnamurchan AD/10.22 is a Highland single malt released in October 2022 by Ardnamurchan, the most westerly distillery on mainland Britain. The whisky spent five years in first-fill bourbon casks and was then finished for 12 months in Madeira hogsheads. It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 58.2%, non-chill filtered and with no added colour, in a run of 5,781 bottles. It is typically described with thick honey, waxy orange peel and singed sugar on the nose, and nutty toast, green grapes, summer berries and oaky vanilla on the palate. Gentle spice builds in the finish, with floral honey lingering.
