Ardnamurchan AD/ Cask Strength is an annual Highland single malt from the Ardnamurchan distillery, built by Adelphi in 2014 on the west coast of Scotland. The 2025 edition is the third release since 2022 and uses spirit distilled in 2016 and 2017. It is bottled without dilution, added colour or chill filtration.
The blend is 87% peated spirit at 30-35ppm and 13% unpeated spirit. Ninety per cent was matured in ex-bourbon barrels and 10% in ex-sherry Oloroso and PX casks.
Tasting notes mention beach bonfire, custard, toffee apples and black pepper, with orange zest, earthy peat, vanilla and orchard fruit. Smoke and peppery spice linger among ripe tropical fruit.
