Ardnamurchan AD/Rum Cask Release is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle, made on the Ardnamurchan peninsula in north-west Scotland. It is a blend of single malts matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in casks that held Jamaican rum. The distillery uses low-impact technology, and a QR code on each bottle allows its production chain to be traced.
The nose is sweet, with wildflowers, lemon peel, vanilla and a hint of sea salt. The palate is elegant, with tropical fruit, banana and apricot, and the finish is medium to long with a light spiciness.
