Ardnamurchan AD is the core single malt from Ardnamurchan Distillery on the Ardnamurchan peninsula in the Highlands, bottled at 46.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was founded in 2014 by the independent bottler Adelphi.
The spirit is half peated and half unpeated, and it is matured in 65% ex-bourbon and 35% ex-sherry casks. It is non-chill filtered and has no added colour. Each bottle carries a QR code linking to blockchain-registered production data.
The nose is described as fresh malt with pear, apple, raisins and orange peel over dry peat smoke. The palate brings vanilla, honey and baked fruit, and the finish is of medium length with a dry, smoky edge.
