This Ardnamurchan single malt is the distillery's first release matured in Hungarian Tokaji casks. It is 8 years old and bottled at 52% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with 8,736 bottles in the release.
The unpeated spirit was distilled in 2018 and filled into 28 bourbon barrels. In early 2024 these were re-racked into Tokaji casks, the Hungarian sweet wine casks. Two fully matured bourbon barrels were blended in alongside them.
The nose is floral, with sandalwood, sweet pear and almond, and a bamboo and white pepper edge. The palate is rich and honeyed, with pear, baked apple, sugared almonds and candied ginger, and a gentle coastal freshness.
