This is the 2025 cask strength release from Ardnamurchan, a Highland distillery, bottled at 57.7% in a 70cl bottle.
The spirit is made from 87% peated and 13% unpeated malt, and it was matured in a mix of 90% ex-bourbon and 10% ex-sherry casks.
The nose brings coastal peat smoke, vanilla and bright, tangy citrus zest. On the palate there is maritime peat, ripe orchard fruit, warm oak and a gentle black pepper spice. The finish is lingering peat with a subtle seaweed salinity.
