Arette Fuerte Artesanal 101 Proof Blanco Tequila (75cl, 50.5%)

Arette Fuerte Artesanal is an unaged blanco tequila bottled at 50.5% in a 75cl bottle. It is made by the Orendain family at El Llano in Tequila, Jalisco, from estate-grown Blue Weber agave. The agave is cooked in brick ovens, extracted with a roller mill, fermented in open-air cement vats with wild house yeast and double-distilled in stainless steel pot stills with copper coils. It is bottled without dilution and has no oak contact. The nose is intense, with cooked agave, black pepper, citrus peel and fresh herbs. The palate is full and rich, with agave sweetness, minerality, pepper and mint and thyme. The finish is long and warming, with pepper, citrus and cooked agave.
