Armand de Brignac Ace of Spades Blanc de Blancs Champagne (75cl, 12.5%)

Armand de Brignac Ace of Spades Blanc de Blancs is a multi-vintage Champagne made entirely from Chardonnay, in a 75cl bottle. It blends three harvests, half of it wine from the harvest year and half from two reserve wines, with fruit from Premier and Grand Cru vineyards. Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs gives chalky finesse, and almost half the blend comes from the Montagne de Reims for body and fruit. Only the first portion of the press is used, and the dosage wine spends a year in new French oak. The dosage is 8 g/L, placing it in the brut style. On the nose there is lightly buttered baked pastry, pear, hazelnut and gingerbread. The palate brings guava, gooseberry and peach with cinnamon and vanilla, and the finish is fresh, mineral and crisp.
