Armand de Brignac Ace of Spades Brut Gold (75cl, 12.5%)

Brut Gold is the flagship cuvée of the Ace of Spades range and the first Armand de Brignac, released in 2006. It is a multi-vintage Champagne from the Montagne de Reims, made by the Cattier family, blended from 50% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Meunier, with a dosage of 9 g/L. Only the first portion of the press is used, and the dosage wine is aged for one year in new French oak. The gold-metalised bottle carries hand-applied French pewter labels. The nose shows warm brioche, ripe stone fruit and citrus blossom. On the palate there is peach, apricot and lemon zest with vanilla and acacia honey, rich yet balanced, leading to a fresh, long finish.
