Armand de Brignac Ace of Spades Brut Rosé (75cl, 12.5%)

This is a multi-vintage rosé Champagne from Armand de Brignac, made in the Montagne de Reims. The blend is 55% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier, with 18% still Pinot Noir red wine from old vines added for colour. Half the wine is from the harvest year and half from two reserve wines. The dosage is 8.5 g/L. The bottle is pink-metalised, with hand-applied French pewter labels. The nose offers wild strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrant with delicate florals and a hint of spice. On the palate come red berries, blood orange and ripe cherry in a silky texture, followed by a long, refined finish.
