This is a 10 year old single malt from the Lochranza distillery on the Isle of Arran, bottled at 46%.
It is a marriage of malts that have mostly matured in American bourbon casks, around 60% of the blend, with a smaller portion of malt aged in sherry casks.
The nose brings sweet vanilla, banana, melon and cocoa. On the palate the character deepens and grows more complex, while the citrus note associated with Arran stays clear throughout. The style is very soft.
