The Arran Malt 18 Year Old is a single malt from the Isle of Arran, bottled at 46% in the 2024 release. It combines first-fill and second-fill hogsheads with bourbon barrels, and was finished in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks.
The whisky is dark and deep in colour. The nose offers dried sweet fruits with syrup, burnt oak, vanilla, cinnamon and spice. On the palate there is sweetness with chocolate, ginger, burnt dark brown sugar and plenty of dark dried fruit. A little water brings out orange and floral notes.
The finish is long, with citrus fruit alongside dark chocolate.
