A 27 year old Arran single malt, distilled in 1996 and matured in a single sherry cask. It was bottled for Claxton's Warehouse No.1 at 50.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle, and only 197 bottles were produced.
The Arran distillery at Lochranza began running in 1995, the first legal distillery on the island since 1835. Arran is known for a tropical character and complexity, and an older bottling such as this shows how the spirit has matured.
