This Arran single malt was first matured in traditional oak casks for a number of years, then finished in Amarone wine casks. The casks came from an artisan Amarone producer in the Veneto region of Italy. It is bottled at 50%.
The nose brings cherry, Turkish delight and chocolate. Poached pears, a touch of cranberry and honey show on the palate. The finish carries sweetness, pears, Turkish delight, cherries and dark chocolate.
