This is a single malt from the Isle of Arran, matured first in traditional oak casks and then finished in Amarone casks. The pairing of Italian wine and Scottish spirit is the heart of the bottling.
Arran makes its whisky with water from Loch na Davie. It is bottled at 50% without chill-filtering and with no added colour.
The nose brings cherry, chocolate and Turkish delight. On the palate come stewed pear, honey and a touch of cranberry, and the finish runs through sweetness, pear, dark chocolate and cherry.
