Arran Duero Discovery is the third of four single malts in the Arran Signature Series, each signed by distillery manager Stewart Bowman. The first edition appeared in autumn 2023. This one is bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle and comes in a linen bag.
The whisky spent six years in ex-bourbon casks, then six more in first-fill red wine casks from the Duero region of northern Spain, which add an elegant, vinous depth.
Tasting notes describe ripe berries, dark fruit and spiced oak, alongside Arran's usual citrus and malt.
