Arran – Founder's Reserve (70cl, 43%)

Arran – Founder's Reserve is a single malt whisky from Arran (Islands). Bottled at 43% ABV, 70cl. Established in 1995 by Harold Currie, a former Chivas Brothers managing director, the Isle of Arran Distillery is located in the north of Arran at Lochranza. Production began in 1995 and by 1998 they had released their first whisky, a 3-year-old. For the first several years, the distillery was recognised for its vast number of young whiskies. Towards the end of 2017, with Arran thriving, an additional two stills were installed at the Lochranza site and construction began for a second distillery. Arran's sister distillery, Lagg, began production in early 2019 and is situated on the south side of the Isle of Arran. Lagg takes control of the peated element for the whiskies, working in harmony with its sister distillery. This early bottling of no age statement Arran single malt was made available only to the initial bondholders - the investors in Arran Distillery.
