This is a peated 10 year old single malt from Arran, made at Lochranza Distillery and matured in first-fill bourbon casks. Machrie Moor takes its name from a peat moor on the west coast of the island, where Bronze Age standing stones remain. The dog on the label recalls the legend of the giant Fingal tethering his hound Bram to one of them.
It is a limited edition, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtering or added colour.
The palate is rich in spice, balanced by sweet smoke.
