Arran – Machrie Moor Cask Strength (70cl, 56.2%)

This is a peated single malt from Arran, bottled at a cask strength of 56.2% in a 70cl bottle. Isle of Arran Distillers does not normally make smoky whisky, but the Machrie Moor releases are peated to about 20 ppm. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour. Bottling at full strength lets the peat smoke and other flavours come through more strongly. The nose offers citrus and peat smoke, while the palate brings orchard fruit, red berries, vanilla and coconut.
