Duero Discovery is the third edition in the Arran Signature Series, a 12 year old single malt in a 70cl bottle at 50% ABV. The series is chosen by distillery manager Stewart Bowman.
The whisky spent its first six years in ex-bourbon casks and the next six in red wine casks from the Duero river in northern Spain.
The Spanish wine casks add depth and warmth, with notes of ripe berries, spiced oak and rounded fruit, balanced by the classic Arran character.
